Oven-Fried Fish

A low-carb Atkins recipe for Oven-Fried Fish.

  • 2 pounds firm fish -- cut into serving size pieces
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 egg -- beaten
  • 1/2 cup flax seed -- 1 cup ground -- 1/2 cup seeds should grind to 1 cup
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder

Instructions

    Add salt to beaten egg, mix well.

    Mix ground flax seeds, onion powder and chili powder.

  3. 3

    Dip fish into egg, then roll in dry ingredients.

    Place in foil-lined baking dish.

    Pour melted butter over fish.

  6. 6

    Place pan on shelf near top of oven.

  7. 7

    Bake 10-12 minutes at 500 F.
