  • 2 c Cornmeal
  • 1 c Plain flour
  • 1 ts Baking powder
  • 1 ts Salt
  • 1/2 ts Soda
  • 1/2 c Parsley, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp Bacon drippings, hot
  • 1 c Buttermilk
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 c Green onion, finely chopped

Instructions

    Combine all dry ingredients.

    Add eggs, buttermilk, onions, and oil or bacon drippings.

    Mix well.

    Drop in deep hot fat by spoonfuls and brown on all sides.
