  • 1 cup rye meal
  • 1 cup granulated
  • 1 cup Graham flour
  • 0.8 cup molasses
  • 2 cup sour milk, or
  • 1
  • 3/
  • 4 cup sweet milk
  • 3/4 tablespoon
  • soda
  • corn meal
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • or water

Instructions

    Preheat the oven to 325°F if baking, or do not preheat if steaming.

    Grease cans (often a coffee can).

    Pour the batter into the greased cans.

  4. 4

    Cover the cans with parchment or foil and secure with string.

  5. 5

    Set the cans in a pot with a few inches of water.
