Pan Broiled Liver-Onion Gravy

  • 5 tablespoons flour
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 1 pound calf liver
  • 1/4 cup oleo or drippings
  • 2 small onions, sliced
  • 1 beef bouillon cube

Instructions

    MIX 3 tablespoons flour, salt, pepper; coat liver and brown slowly in drippings in skillet.

    REMOVE and keep warm.

    MELT rest of fat in same skillet, ADD onions and SAUTÉ 3 minutes.

    STIR in rest of flour, 2 tablespoons;

    ADD beef bouillon cube in 1 cup hot water;

  6. 6

    COOK 'til thickened.

  7. 7

    POUR over liver.
