Linguini With Clam Sauce

  • 16 oz dry linguine
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 6 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cans (6.5 oz) minced clams
  • 0.5 cup butter
  • 2 tbsp dry white wine
  • 1 tsp salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

    Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook linguine until al dente; drain.

    In a large skillet, sauté onion and garlic in olive oil until translucent.

    Drain clams, reserving half of the juice. Add clams, reserved juice, butter, salt, pepper, and wine to the skillet.

    Simmer for 20 minutes until sauce has reduced by a third and thickened.

    Spoon clam sauce over linguine and serve.
