Fresh Apple Cobbler

- 1/2 cup of sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons of ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup of pecans or walnuts
- 1 cup of self rising flour
- 4 cups of thinly sliced apples
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1 egg, well beaten
- 1/2 cup of evaporated milk
- 1/3 cup of butter
Instructions

Mix 1/2 cup of sugar, the ground cinnamon and 1/4 cup of the nuts together.

Place the apples slices in the bottom of a greased baking dish and sprinkle with the cinnamon mixture.

Sift together 1 cup of flour and 1 cup of sugar.

Combine the milk, egg, and the butter and add the flour and sugar mixture all at once and mix until smooth.

Pour this mixture over the apples.

Sprinkle with the remaining 1/4 cup of nuts.

Bake at 325 degrees for about 55 minutes.

Serve warm with ice cream if desired.
