Beef Casserole (Slow Cooker)
A classic British-style slow cooker beef casserole: flour-coated stew meat browned and layered with sliced onions and carrots in a rich beef stock gravy.

- 1 0.5 lb stew meat, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1 oz flour
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 large onions, thinly sliced
- 3 medium carrots, thinly sliced
- 1 pint beef stock
- 1 tsp salt
- 0.5 tsp black pepper
Instructions

Toss beef cubes in flour seasoned with salt and pepper. Brown on all sides in oil; remove.

Sauté sliced onions in the same pan until soft and golden.

Place carrots in bottom of crockpot. Add onions, then browned meat.

Deglaze pan with beef stock; stir to pick up any bits, then pour over. Cook on LOW 8 hours.
