Yeast Biscuits

A homemade bread recipe for Yeast Biscuits.

  • 1 pkg. yeast
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 4 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 cup cooking oil
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. soda
  • 5 cups flour (maybe more)

Instructions

    Dissolve yeast in water.

    Mix together thoroughly with all of the ingredients except flour.

    Add 5 or more cups of flour and mix well.

  4. 4

    Put the dough in a covered bowl in the refrigerator for 12 hours or more before using.

    When ready to bake, roll out the dough and pinch off biscuits.

    Bake in a greased pan in a 450 degree oven until golden brown.
