- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup plain yogurt
- 1/4 cup butter or margarine -- softened
- 1 tablespoon grated orange peel
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 (6 ounce) package diced dried fruits and raisins (about 1 1/4 cups)

Heat oven to 375º.

Beat brown sugar, yogurt, butter, orange peel, vanilla and egg in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed, or mix with spoon.

Stir in flour, baking soda and baking powder.

Stir in dried fruits.

Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake 11 to 13 minutes or until light brown.

Remove from cookie sheet to wire rack.
