- 1 1/3 cups sugar
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 4 eggs
- 2 cups flour
- pinch of salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 2/3 cup fresh strawberries, chopped

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Grease and flour a 9x5 inch loaf pan.

Cream together sugar and butter in a large bowl.

Add eggs, flour, and salt, mixing well.

Add strawberries and vanilla extract, continue mixing.

Pour batter into loaf pan.

Bake for about 1 hour or until a wooden toothpick comes out clean, when inserted in center of cake.
