- 2 1/2 cups of boiling water
- 2 egg yolks
- 2 stiffly beaten egg whites
- 2 cups of cornmeal
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 1/2 cups of buttermilk
- 3 tablespoons of melted butter
Instructions

Gradually stir the cornmeal into the boiling water.

After the cornmeal mixture has cooled add the egg yolks, baking powder, salt, melted butter, and the buttermilk.

Fold in the stiffly beaten egg whites.

Pour into a greased baking pan

Bake for 45 minutes at 425 degrees.
