  • 1 ½ - 2 pounds round steak ¼ teaspoon pepper
  • 2 tbsp oil ¼ teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 cup chopped onion 2 large green peppers, cut into strips
  • 1 garlic clove, minced ½ cup cold water
  • 1 tsp sugar 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • ¼ cup soy sauce 1 can (16 oz.) tomatoes with liquid, cut up
  • ½ teaspoon salt cooked noodles or rice

Instructions

    Layer beef, onions, garlic, and gingerroot in a 3- to 4-quart slow cooker.

    In a small bowl, mix broth and soy sauce, then pour over the beef.

    Cover and cook on low heat for 7 to 9 hours or until the beef is tender.

    Add green, red, and yellow capsicum to the slow cooker after 2 hours on low.

    Add a couple of drops of Worcestershire sauce to the slow cooker.

    Serve with cooked noodles or rice.
