  • 1 tablespoon bacon drippings
  • 4 sweet potatoes, peel and slice thin
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar

    MELT oleo and drippings in large heavy skillet

    ADD potatoes and water

  3. 3

    SPRINKLE sugar over all

  4. 4

    COOK uncovered, low heat

  5. 5

    STIR 'til tender and thick sauce
