  • 3 to 4 tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 tbsp chopped onion
  • 1 can (4 oz.) diced green chiles
  • 2 dried cilantro leaves, crushed
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp coarsely ground pepper

Instructions

    Peel, rinse and dry the tomatillos.

    Slice the tomatillos in half and set them onto a large lined baking sheet.

  3. 3

    Slice 1 serrano pepper in half and set it on the baking sheet with the tomatillos, skin sides up.

    Broil the vegetables.

    Add the broiled veggies, the rinsed onions, cilantro, salt, and a splash of water to a blender.

    Blend until smooth or chunky as desired.
