Pizza Dough #2

A bread recipe for Pizza Dough #2.

  • 1 pk Dry yeast
  • 1 3/4 c Hot tap water
  • 1/2 ts Salt
  • 2 c Flour
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup flour (or more if dough is too sticky)
  • olive oil
  • favorite sauce and fixings

Instructions

    In a large bowl, mix 1 pk Dry yeast, 1 3/4 c Hot tap water, and 1/2 ts Salt until the yeast is dissolved

    Mix with a mixer for 2 minutes on high speed (or 2 minutes on medium speed if using a regular mixer)

    Add 1 cup flour and mix for one more minute on high speed

  4. 4

    Knead by hand for 5 minutes minimum, adding 1 cup flour (or more if dough is too sticky) until the dough is soft but easily handleable without being too sticky

    Place the dough in a bowl greased with olive oil and cover it with a cloth. Let the dough rise in a warm oven that is turned off for about 1 1/2 hours

    When the dough has risen, punch it down and separate it into either 2 thick crust pizzas or 4 thin crust pizzas

    Shape the dough into olive oil greased pans by spinning and tossing carefully to avoid tossing too high

    Place your favorite sauce and fixings on top of the shaped dough

  9. 9

    Bake for 20 minutes at 375 f until edges look done
