  • 4 Tbs. Butter
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 lb.. ground beef
  • 1 jar (15 1/2 oz.) spaghetti sauce
  • 1 can (16 oz) stewed tomatoes
  • 1 can (1lb. 14 oz.) chili beans
  • 1/2 cup chopped parsley
  • 1/2 Tbs. Chili powder
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

    In a heavy saucepan, cook the onions in the butter until they are tender.

    Add the beef and brown it.

  3. 3

    Drain off the excess fat.

  4. 4

    Stir in the remaining ingredients and simmer the chili for one hour.

  5. 5

    The chili may be served with grated cheese.
