Crock Pot Roast Beef

A pub-style beef chuck roast first braised in the oven, then slow-cooked with French onion soup, beer, whiskey, and beef bouillon for tender, fall-apart results.

  • 5 lb chuck roast
  • 2 can French onion soup
  • 16 oz beer
  • 2 oz whiskey
  • 2 beef bouillon cubes

Instructions

    Braise roast in a 400°F oven for one hour.

    Transfer to crockpot with French onion soup, beer, whiskey, and bouillon cubes; stir.

    Simmer on LOW 4–5 hours until very tender. Meat will break into pieces.

    Serve on buns with Au Jus or with potatoes and vegetables.
