  • 0.8 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla flavoring
  • 1 0.8 cup flour with
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 2/3 cup oatmeal, quick cooking
  • 1 cup nuts, optional
  • 1 package chocolate chips, I use 6 ounce package

    For the person who was looking for the world's best -- these are from my grandmother. Cream: 1 cup Crisco

    Add: 2 beaten eggs

    Sift together and add:

    Add to creamed mixture:

    Drop by teaspoonsful onto baking sheet. Bake at 350F, 12-15 minutes. --
