Cheddar Dumplings

A bread recipe for Cheddar Dumplings.

  • 16 oz Cheddar; Md, Shredded
  • 2 Eggs; Lg
  • 1 c Unbleached Flour
  • 1 ts Salt
  • 3 qt Boiling Water
  • 1/2 c Butter
  • 1/2 pt Sour Cream

Instructions

    Mash the cheddar cheese and add the eggs mixing well.

    Stir in the flour and salt.

  3. 3

    Drop by TBLS into the rapidly boiling water then cover and boil for 15 minutes.

  4. 4

    Drain and serve with melted butter and sour cream.

  5. 5

    Sprinkle with chopped parsley or paprika, if desired.
