  • 4 lb Large sweet onions
  • 10−¾ oz. Can of cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup Half−and−half
  • 1 cup Sharp cheddar cheese, grated
  • 8 slices of French bread, 3/4"
  • 3 tsp Butter, melted
  • ¼ Cup Butter, melted
  • ¼ Teaspoon Salt
  • ¼ Teaspoon Black pepper

Instructions

    Wrap each onion well and form a packet.

  2. 2

    Place in a 350 degree oven for 45 to 60 minutes until the onions are soft.

  3. 3

    Remove from foil and place in a serving bowl.

  4. 4

    Baste with the broth.
