- 4 lb Large sweet onions
- 10−¾ oz. Can of cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup Half−and−half
- 1 cup Sharp cheddar cheese, grated
- 8 slices of French bread, 3/4"
- 3 tsp Butter, melted
- ¼ Cup Butter, melted
- ¼ Teaspoon Salt
- ¼ Teaspoon Black pepper
Instructions

Wrap each onion well and form a packet.

Place in a 350 degree oven for 45 to 60 minutes until the onions are soft.

Remove from foil and place in a serving bowl.

Baste with the broth.
