Baked Halibut with Tomato Sauce

- 2 lb halibut
- 2 cup tomatoes
- 1 cup water
- 1 slice onion
- 1/2 tablespoon sugar
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 3 cloves

Preheat the oven to 450 degrees.

Oil a baking dish large enough for the fish to lie flat.

Season the fish with salt and pepper.

Arrange the fish in the baking dish.

Make the sauce as directed and keep warm.

Add oil to a heavy saucepan over medium heat.

Add diced onions and cook 3-5 minutes, or until the onions are tender.

Tuck the fish into the sauce and return to the oven.
