Amish Sugar Cookies

A Carolina mountain recipe for Amish Sugar Cookies.

  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 cup Powder Sugar
  • 1 cup Margarine
  • 1 cup Oil
  • 2 Eggs
  • 4-3/4 cup Flour
  • 1 tsp Soda
  • 1 tsp Cream of Tartar
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 2 tsp Vanilla

Instructions

    Cream first 3 ingredients.

    Add oil and eggs and beat well.

  3. 3

    Add remaining ingredients and mix well.

  4. 4

    Drop by tsp.

  5. 5

    Press down with fork or glass dipped in sugar.

  6. 6

    Bake at 350° for 10 to 12 minutes.
