Crock Pot Spaghetti Sauce

- 0.5 cup olive oil
- 0.3 cup chopped onions
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp parsley
- 2 tbsp salt
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 lb ground chuck or mild Italian
- sausage
- 2 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
- 2 lg. cans tomato puree (2 lb. 3 oz.)
- 2 tsp. oregano leaves
- 1 tsp. basil
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 (4 oz.) can mushroom stems &
- pieces, drained
- 1/4 c. dry red wine

Saute onions and meat until not red or pink. Drain. Combine meat and

remaining ingredients in crock pot, cover, set on low. Cook 8 hours. Sauce can
- 3
be frozen and used for all types of pasta (i.e. ravioli, lasagna, tortellini,
- 4
etc.).
